         Meet Alec...

The idea for PAL stemmed from our co-founder,   Brent Chase's, younger brother Alec. At a young   age, Alec was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum   Disorder (ASD). For the next twenty-plus years,   Alec struggled to live an ordinary life. His pain   and loss of normalcy was the inspiration behind   PAL, a company designed to generate   innovative solutions for the ASD community.

Now, meet Shari...

Shari is Brent and Alec's mom. What once were easily scheduled little league games and family dinners quickly turned into weekly occupational and speech therapy sessions after Alec's diagnosis. On top of this she was forced to leave her job in order to become Alec’s  full-time caregiver. She now lives in constant fear and uncertainty of what will happen when she’s not around to take care of him. Her top of mind challenge when Alec was growing up? Meltdowns. That's where we come in.

Shari and Alec's experience isn't rare...

This is a challenge for 5 million families in the US that have family members with autism. Thus there had to be a better way to mitigate meltdowns and eliminate the emotional and physical harm they can create. Thats where PAL comes in...

The future of meltdown prevention? Wearable Tech

Our intention is to create wearable smart apparel and an app system that monitors biometrics that are indicative of stress, wireless transmitting data to our associated app for early detection and notification of meltdowns. Now when a meltdown occurs, an alert is sent to the child's parent and any other caregivers as well as Alec of the the impending event.
